Mr Lewis reported that he had arranged for the road sign inside the Memorial dram to be removed to preserve the integrity of the dram.
The Welfare is now closed and waiting for the feasibility study to be completed.

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 12th October 2023 were accepted due as a true record.
89/23 Clerk’s report and Council Matters Arising/Materion yn codi o’r cofnodion
ac adroddiad y Clerc.
The Clerk’s report was presented and approved.
90/23. Precept for the next financial year
The precept for the financial year 2023/2024 was now due to be set by the Community Council. The Clerk presented the budget forecast for the coming year. Following the recommendation of the finance committee it was agreed to raise the precept by 5% to £64,627.
91/23 Co-option of new Councillor
Members have received a new applicant for the post of Community Councillor Mr Liam Whomes who was approved for the post.
92/23 Biodiversity report
The Community Council are required to submit and publish a 3 yearly Biodiversity report this is due at the end of this year and the Community Council will comply with the duty via its annual report.
93/23 Preparations for the MUGA
The Community Council are committed to the refurbishment of the MUGA. There is a great deal of work to be done and the Community Council will be involving the local community organisations, sports clubs, and residents in the village. This will require source funding on a large scale and will take time and energy to complete. We look forward to bringing this major project to the village and hope to start joining together in the New Year.

95/23 Sub-Committee Reports
Joint Park/Finance committees – The focus of the committees in November was to examine the budget forecast and decide the projects for the next financial year, this will taken to the full council
96/23 Chairman’s Report.
The Chair reported that the library had been successful in obtaining a grant for the repairs in the library and a suggestion that the Secretary and new Trustee be invited to the January council meeting was agreed.
97/23 Councillors Report
A report was received of a proposed development in Abergarwed from the Caravan and Camping Club.
As previously reported the light in corner of the walkway has been vandalised and removed, the question was asked if it was going to be replaced. Currently there are no plans to replace the light.
The Christmas light wrap on Cory Street as not been erected. The clerk will contact the contractors to arrange.
