The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 6th April 2022 were accepted as a true record.

116/21 Lighting at school camp – It was agreed to ask a contractor to install low level solar lighting on the pathway – ongoing
32/2 Jubilee Trees – 1 tree Going to Ynysfach School
42/22 The Annual Return 21/22 and report from Internal Auditor
The internal Auditor report stated no issues raised, was presented to the members and the 21/22 Annual return was signed as required by the law. All accounts have now been completed and will be sent to the external Auditor in due course.
43/22 The Aberdulais Aqueduct
A letter has been received from the Heritage Group that the Aqueduct will be repaired.
44/22 Hanging Basket Competition
A letter has been received from Resolven District News pointing out that the original Hanging Basket Competition was arranged by them and was for the district, however as the competition has been advertised, it should be made clear that Resolven Community Council are running the competition purely for Resolven.
Following discussion, it was agreed to update the website and Facebook page.
45/22 Correspondence –
Muirhall Energy Company have recently amended their planning application for the new wind farm at Melin Court. Resolven Community Council have sent a letter of support to NPT and advised Muirhall, who are hoping to have a remote meeting with RCC soon.

Parks/Environment/Hall committee. No meeting in April
Finance Committee. – No meeting in April
47/22 Chairman’s Report.
The Chair welcomed the new members to the Council and wished them well.
48/22 Councillors Reports
A request for Youth pods in the park from the Youth Forum has been received and will be taken to the Parks meeting.
Due to the continuing concern about traffic speeding through the village, a request for traffic calming measures to be put in place in Resolven has been put forward. This is an ongoing issue and many attempts have been made by the Community Council to have something put in place.
We will again continue to lobby NPT on this matter. Details have been sent to our County Councillor Dean Lewis
The poor state of the footpath from the Farmers Arms to Abergarwed park has been reported to the Footpaths Officer at NPT.
