The minutes of the last Monthly Meeting held on Thursday 11th April 2019 were confirmed as a true record.
Resignation – Letter of Resignation from Councillor Ross Carpenter. It was proposed to send a letter of thanks.
Matters Arising
Logo
The new logo design will be incorporated for use on headed paper and other administration areas, and the complete drawing will be used on a flag.
Charitable Donations
OVW has replied to our query, however following discussion it was agreed to keep to the criteria already employed by the Community Council, which is to only donate to local organisations.
Accounts
The current bank reconciliation and monthly figures were presented and approved by the members
Abergarwed Park
Ownership and boundaries of Abergarwed Park to be established/confirmed
Items for the full council
Community Tool Bank
A proposal to establish a community tool bank, whereby the Community Council would purchase tools for use by the Council and for hire to the community. The first item to be purchased would be a cement mixer. This proposal will be taken to the full Council for approval..
Tennis
A proposal to offer the tennis courts for free to the community was discussed and agreed. Users to book the courts with the Park Keeper
Pavilion
The insulation in the pavilion roof is insufficient and needs to be updated
Windows in the pavilion need replacing it was proposed to replace 3 at this time
Muirhall Energy
A proposal to hold an exhibition by Muirhall Energy showing the new wind farm at Melin Court, from which the Resolven Community will benefit from their Community Fund was suggested and agreed.
