Parks
The installation of Des’ bench will take place when restrictions allow and the family will be invited to attend.
Bowling green/Pavilion.
New lagging required for the pavilion roof to bring up to current regulations. A grant was sourced for this project but rejected. Further funding will be sourced when possible.
Some volunteers have now come forward to tend the flower beds in the bowling green, there are several more which need attention.
Most of the benches have been painted. There is an issue with the memorial benches in the bowling green as to ownership and maintenance. Memorial benches should be maintained and are the responsibility of the family members who asked for them to be placed, should they be left to deteriorate they will have to be removed.
The possibility of setting up a franchise to operate the pavilion as a cafe will be taken to the full council
The placing of advertising boards along the railings will also be taken to the full council
Children’s park
The disabled path should be completed in the next 2 weeks. the park will be closed whilst the work is being carried out.
No smoking signs have been placed in the children’s park to comply with current regulations
