Finance Meeting
The Finance meeting was held on Thursday 11th March 2021at 6pm
The meeting was held on a remote basis in accordance with the provisions of The Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Meetings) (Wales) Regulations 2020, these regulations remain in force until 30th April 2021, or earlier if repealed. These regulations temporarily supersede those of Resolven Community Council Standing Orders for meetings

Prior to the meeting members watched the Muirhall Energy video filmed by Matthew Young. This was an excellent presentation of Resolven and the surrounding area, highlighting the sense of community, the willingness to get involved and the passion the locals have for the village of Resolven and beyond including the restoration of the canal.
There will be more videos to come and it is hoped that they will be shown to the village when Muirhall Energy has given it’s permission.
Minutes
The minutes of the last monthly meeting held on Thursday 11th February 2021 were accepted as a true record.
Finance
The bank reconciliation and all accounts were circulated prior to the meeting. They were formally accepted and approved.
Dog Signs
A proposal to produce more officially worded dog signs, that indicate it is a legal offence to allow your dog to foul in our parks, was agreed. This will be taken to the full Council.
Cafe/Tea room in the Pavilion
The proposal from the parks committee to advertise for a person/persons to run a cafe cum tea room in the pavilion was discussed, and further information is required before this can be initiated. The matter will go on the agenda of the next council meeting.
Chairman
Due to the restrictions that have been in place during the last year, at the Annual Meeting in May a proposal by Cllr. T. Jones that the current Chair remain in office for the next year, should he wish to do so will be discussed.
Recreational Field
The current deeds to the recreation field state that no sports should be played on the ground. As this has not been the case for many decades, it was proposed that a formal resolution be made to abandon this codicil. This will be discussed at the full council meeting
Planning Application P2021/0180 – 66 Ynysfach Avenue, Resolven. – Retention of outbuilding.
This application was circulated to members prior to the meeting and no objections were recorded
