Prior to the meeting the Chair lit the D.Day Memorial lamp in memory of those who had taken part on 6th June 1944.

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 9th May 2024 were accepted as a true record.

The clerk’s report was presented and approved, there were no matters arising.
51/24. Report from the internal auditor
The Clerk presented the internal auditor’s report which stated the accounts were of a very good standard and all areas covered were satisfactory.

53/24 Sub-Committee Reports
Parks Committee – The minutes of the parks meeting 16/5/24 and MUGA meeting 30/5/24 were accepted as a true record.
The Park Keeper has raised the issue of the mess being left behind by the bowlers after meetings, the members agreed to write to the bowls clubs.
Finance Committee – There was no finance meeting in May the next meeting will be on Thursday June 20th 2024
There will, be a MUGA meeting on Wednesday 12th June 2024 with all parties.
54/24 Chairman’s Report –
The Chair was invited to the Rugby Club presentation but was unfortunately unable to attend due to illness.
The members would like to welcome the Ty Banc Canal group who will be working from an office at the community centre.
55/24 Councillors Report
Cllr T. Jones asked for nominations to the OVW Community Liaison Forum for Chair and Vice Chair, members would consider this request
A proposal to put first aid packs in the defibrillator boxes was considered and enquiries will be made to find suitable packs
A proposal to invite County Councillor Leanne Jones to the meeting in September was agreed.
The Clerk put forward the proposal to add to the sustainability of the council to recycle the poppy wreaths which are in good condition for the next Remembrance service. The members will send a donation to the British Legion to compensate.
A local resident has made a complaint against the Rugby Club regarding the noise and they will be advised to contact the rugby club direct or NPT Environment.
