The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 4th May 2023 were accepted as a true record.
49/23 Clerk’s report and Council Matters Arising/Materion yn codi o’r cofnodion ac adroddiad y Clerc.
The Clerk’s report was presented and approved.
Matters arising:
The solar lights have now been installed on the path at Fairways Adventure
50/23 New flooring in the toilet in the green
A proposal to renew the flooring of the toilets on the green will be discussed later.
52/23 Youth Pod as project for this financial year.
The project has been agreed in principle by the members. A suitable location and type of pod will
be investigated by the parks committee.
53/23 Approval of Annual return
In line with Audit Wales finance regulations the Resolven Community Council Annual return which had been previously circulated was approved by the members. The Annual return is also published on the resolvencc/cymru website.

Parks/Environment/Hall committee – The minutes of the meeting 18th May 2023 were accepted as a true record.
Planning app P02023/0310 –Biosol Renewables Uk Limited Unit 1, Vale of Neath Business Park, Resolven. – Installation of Roof-top Extraction Flues to facilitate Internal Boiler Apparatus

The next meeting will be on Thursday 8th June at 6pm and will be a joint meeting with the Finance committee
Finance/Funding – The minutes of the meeting 18th May 2023 were accepted as a true record.
54/23 Correspondence
Karen Jones Chief Executive of NPT – Message to Town and Community Councils for a partnership with NPT and Town and Community Councils to consider if there are areas that all parties could put forward to work together. Following discussion, it was agreed that Resolven would put forward the reinstatement of the canal at the next Liaison meeting.
Rhys George NPT – Voter ID and the Elections Act presentation.
56/23 Chairman’s Report.
The current Chair is unwell, and the Vice Chair took the meeting.
A report of the meeting with the Muirhall Wind Farm Project was read out to the members.
This was a positive report which will hopefully come to fruition in the next few years and be of great benefit to the community.
57/23 Councillors Report
The issue of the current vacancy to replace Cllr I. Ace was raised, however members decided to wait for an appropriate time before looking for a new Councillor.
