58/17 County Councillors report / Adroddiad y Cynghorydd Sirol
15/16 (a)Aqueduct – Update received from Mr Robert Knapman of Network Rail that he is now liaising with Welsh Water to formulate a plan of repair.
The Overgrown hedge at Neath Road is now being dealt with by officers at NPT
Following a complaint regarding the parking outside the post office a traffic order is to be raised to alleviate the situation. This has been a matter of concern by the Community Council and we will continue to lobby to have the matter addressed.

The Clerk’s report was presented to members, there were no matters arising.
Other business
The Clerk reported that owing to a change in government policy the Clerk reported that the Council would need full administrative rights. It was agreed that the present arrangement would be curtailed and a new provider contacted. The Clerk was asked to contact Mr Chris Edwards to thank him for his previous work in helping administer the present website.
60/16. Candidates for vacancy on Community Council
In response to the advert for 2 vacancies on the Community Council 2 applicants have applied
Mr Neal Francis and Mr Kieron Sims, and following discussion have been duly appointed.

62/17 Sub-Committee Reports
Finance – The minutes of the finance meeting were presented and accepted as a true record.
Matters Arising. –
It was agreed to add a sponsorship section the next years budget
Resolved – to add a sponsorship section to next year’s budget
Cllr Neal Francis has been appointed to the finance committee

Parks – the next meeting will be on 8th June 2017
63/17 Chairman’s Report.
The Chair and several Councillors were delighted to attend the 90th birthday celebrations for Councillor Redvers Davies. Redvers was presented with a plaque to commemorate his over half
a century of public service.

Update required on the underpass at Abergarwed –

Japanese knotweed in the land off John Street – to be reported to NPT
Officer of NPT Council are to contact Western Power Distributors and B.T about the two poles at the junction of Cory Street and Commercial Road. WPD have replaced their pole but B.T. need to transfer
their equipment from the old pole to the new and then the old pole can be removed. NPT Officer will high light the risk of accidents at that junction.
