03/20 County Councillor/Cynghorydd Sirol – Report and Matters Arising
Feasibility studies will be carried out in the next financial year on:-
1. Excess water running down Waterfall Road which is need of a culvert to be installed
2. Speeding traffic through Clyne, Resolven and Abergarwed
3. Pelican crossings in Resolven to allow safe access for school children
Trees have fallen into the canal on the left hand side and need to be cut – ongoing
Following enquiries with NPT The adoption of lanes will only be agreed if the lane has been brought up to highway standard
The damage to the brickwork on the dram will be reported
Some bus stops in Resolven are in need of repair and will be dealt with in due course
Concern was expressed about the speed of vehicles in John Street

The Clerks report was presented and approved.
06/20 Planning application P2019/5706 – Land at Former site of Abergarwed Service Station – Variation of condition No 8 of planning consent P2014/0505 – to use existing storage for the stabling of horses and storage – No objections recorded.

The Chair wished everyone a Happy New Year and advised that the Library frontage has now been completed

Cllr A Jones reported that a plan has been agreed with NPT to resolve the maintenance issues at Ynysfach School

Cllr A. Jones reported that the roof of the St David’s Church Hall is leaking and members will offer their support by our Project Manager Cllr N. Francis looking to source funding for the project.
