The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 7th December 2017 were accepted as a true record.
04/18 County Councillors Report and Matters Arising
Cllr Davies reports that he is in touch with NPT and the bus company regarding the reduction of bus service to Resolven, the Community Council will also be writing to First Cymru re this matter
Cllr Trevor Harris requested an update on the canal basin toilets – Cllr Davies to be informed

The Clerk reported that she has received 3 months notification from the Caretaker/Cleaner of his retirement. The hall committee will discuss this at their next meeting.
06/18 Correspondence Received
High Sheriff Award – A letter requesting nominations for the High Sheriff award was discussed and the Scouts and Beavers club was put forward. Leaders will be contacted

08/18 Chairman’s Report.
The Chairman wished everyone a Happy New year and looks forward to the coming year to build on the projects and services of 2017.
Cllr Redvers Davies was welcomed back following absence through ill health.
09/18 Councillor Reports
A report was received of a person using a metal detector in the childrens’ park. Cllr Alun Morgan spoke to the person concerned and although no damage was done, this is not something the members would encourage.
Cllr Kieron Sims reported that a litter pick around the village was recently carried out by various groups.
Cllr Redvers Davies reports that the bus shelter in at the Farmers Arms is in need of cleaning and there are a number of pot holes on the road between Abergarwed and Ynysarwed. Clle Des Davies has been informed.
Cllr David Richards requested and update on the right of way application through the former British legion. NPT to be contacted.
A report has been received of a possible planning application to build industrial units on the old Drehir Farm land. Concern was expressed about the current right of way along this area.

The next meeting will be held on 1st February 2018 at 5.30pm at the Community Centre
