Following the recent sale of the Royal British Legion building, the Community Council had become concerned about the pathway used by the local community through the area.
The Rights of Way Officer at NPT was contacted to advise how a permanent right of way could be established to ensure its future use. He advised that evidence that the path had been used for at least 20yrs was to be provided by 20 users. Cllr David Richards contacted users and provided forms to be filled in which were then presented to NPT. Mr Ieuan Starks the new owner was informed of the situation and agreed to meet with the Council for a briefing session to discuss the matter. An informal discussion took place and Mr Starks was very accommodating in his approach, and assured the Council that he understands the matter and would assist is anyway he could bearing in mind the security of his property. All parties including NPT will now liaise with each other to progress the forming of a right of way.

The officer stated that parking problems had once again been brought to his attention by members of the public in relation to parking outside Ynysfach School. He informed us that HIGH VISIBILITY visits had been made and so far no offences had been detected.
He was concerned about the indiscriminate parking on the road our side the Post Office ( i.e. Marcia’s shop ) and he will be meeting with our County member with a view to possibly having railings erected and having clarification regarding the prohibition regulations in force. He informed me that the following will be his priorities for the next month or so:-
- PARKING PROBLEMS
- LITTER.
- ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
I was informed by him that 49 occurrences had been dealt with since our last meeting Including offences of Criminal Damage.
3 offences of Theft.
2 instances of Antisocial behaviour.
