MUGA
The meeting was called to discuss the way forward for the refurbishment of the
Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). Since its inception and despite many attempts the facility has been underused. It was agreed that a new way forward should be adopted to make the resource fit for purpose.
Cllr A. Jones created a presentation to show to the members present, outlining the proposal under the headings:-
Planning for a better future
Intro: To discuss the proposal of a new 3-4G pitch football pitch
The proposed site
The existing site
Photos of the 3-4G pitch at Penrhos and the pitch usage
The type of equipment and storage needed.
A typical quotation
Is there a commitment from the Community Council
Does the Community want it?
If it goes ahead, we need to show stakeholders/investors the commitment
from the community.
What will be the uptake (clubs/schools/community)
How do we manage it?
Any other questions?
Future meetings will discuss how to meet the various organisations with a view to gathering more information regarding the necessary requirements of each party who are likely to use the facility, as well as speaking to the local community.
Members expressed concern that refurbishing the whole area primarily for football would exclude other activities from using the facility.
