The Monthly Meeting of the Council was held on Thursday 4th February 2021 at 6pm
The meeting was held on a remote basis in accordance with the provisions of The Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Meetings) (Wales) Regulations 2020, these regulations remain in force until 30th April 2021, or earlier if repealed. These regulations temporarily supersede those of Resolven Community Council Standing Orders for meetings.

The railings at Cross St. have been installed
Issues raised by Community Councillors
The lights in the back lane of Ynysfach Avenue – Tai Tarian have agreed to install new lighting.
The shortcut at Glyncastle needs to be cleared, and the road above Glyncastle has been washed away, there is also a lot of fly tipping in the area.
The land above the basin adjacent to the B4242 has not been cleared and is very overgrown. (item 24/21)
19/21 Minutes of the previous Meeting/Cofnodion y Cyfarfod Diwethaf
The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 14th January 2021 were accepted as a true record.
20/21 Clerk’s report and Council Matters Arising/Materion yn codi o’r cofnodion ac adroddiad y Clerc.
The Clerks report was presented and approved. No issues were raised.
21/21 Member vacancy for co-option.
Mr Peter Thomas of Resolven has applied for the vacancy, and has been appointed to represent the Abergarwed Ward. There were no applicants from Abergarwed.
Resolved to appoint Mr Peter Thomas as representative
of Abergarwed Ward.
22/21 Disabled path in children’s park
There being sufficient funds available this project will now go ahead in the Spring.
Resolved to complete the disabled path in the Children’s park.
23/21 Purchase licence for Star leaf virtual meetings
The members agreed to go back to using Microsoft teams instead of using the Star leaf technology.

The Chairman has been appointed as an Ambassador for the Pen Y Cymoedd Wind Farm project, to support applications from the area.

Cllr. Kulik asked if the school needed any laptops as she has a spare. Cllr. Stroud advised there were sufficient at the school.
