Trees have fallen into the canal on the left hand side have now been cut
The damage to the brickwork on the dram will be reported – ongoing
Some bus stops in Resolven are in need of repair and will be dealt with in due course
15/20 Minutes of the previous Meeting/Cofnodion y Cyfarfod Diwethaf
The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 9th January 2020 were accepted as a true record.
16/20 Clerk’s report and Council Matters Arising/Materion yn codi o’r cofnodion ac adroddiad y Clerc.
The Clerks report was presented and approved.
17/20 Farmers Arms Appeal
Members were disappointed that the planning appeal had been upheld, and the building will now be turned into a residential property. A letter from resident from an Abergarwed resident has approached the members to look into listing the building.
18/20 Gates at Abergarwed Park
Following the recent placing of a horse in the park it has been agreed to install a suitable gate to stop this activity causing further damage to the park
19/20 New Cemetery in Resolven
An approach has been made to the Community Council about the possibility of land being available for a new cemetery. Members will look into this and report back at a later date.
20/20 Planning application P2020/0025 – part 2 storey/part single storey rear and side extension to 10 Clydach Avenue, Resolven. No objections recorded
21/20 Correspondence
High Sheriff Awards – A candidate has been put forward
Severn Wye Energy Agency – re Melincourt Waterfalls – It was agreed to ask Dr Liz Bicketon to the April meeting to discuss the Melin Court Waterfall – Clyne community council to be informed.
22/20 Sub-Committee Reports
Parks/Environment/Hall committee – The next meeting 12th February 2020
The training for informal inspections of the Parks was discussed
Finance/Funding – The next meeting 13th February 2020
23/20 Pact meeting report
The PSCO reported as follows:-
- Harassment ( 3 counts.)
2. Theft from unattended motor vehicle.
3. Possession of bladed weapon resulting in suspension of attendance at school.
4. RTC near St. David’s Church.
24/20 Chairman’s Report
Cllr Alun Morgan as Library Trustee reported that they would be purchasing the first memorial bench for the park, which would be dedicated to former County Councillor Des Davies.

Cllr A. Jones reported that he had recently spoken to Muirhall Energy Ltd about the new Melin Court wind farm project, and it is still at the planning stage at present
