As my term of Chairman comes to a close, I wanted to extend my gratitude to the entire council for your unwavering support over the past year.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Cheryl for her exceptional work and support as Clerk. Cheryl’s dedication and hard work have been instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our council and I am truly grateful for her tireless efforts.
Additionally, I want to extend a special thank you to Neal Francis for his endless support in trying to secure funding for our various projects. I also want to recognise Trefor for is unwavering attendance and invaluable expertise in our meetings. His dedication and vast knowledge have been appreciated.
During the last 12 months we have made significant improvements in the park area, including upgrading the lighting on the bowling green, refurbishing the toilets and fitting a sheltered area in the children’s park. The enhancements are a testament to our collective committment to enhancing the quality of life of our residents
However, I must also acknowledge some of the challenges we have faced, such as the disappointment of the Windfarm projects’ collapse despite our best efforts. Additionally, the issue of dog fouling in the park remains unresolved, posing ongoing concerns for our community.
As I pass the torch to a new chairman, I wish Neal the very best for his tenure.
Once again, thank you to each member of the council for your support and dedication. It has been an honour and privilege to serve as chairman, and I look forward to continuing to work together for the betterment of our community.
