The Clerk reported that the grant funding from the Millenium Stadium Trust and Ffynon Oer Wind Farm have been received and the associated projects of new kitchen in the Bowls Pavilion and large container and gates for the park will go ahead

Resolven Bowls Club requested to hold an open day at the Bowling Green on 22nd April 2018.
Members agreed to this event and all are welcome to attend.

38/19 Chairman’s Report
Several members of the Community Council attended the recent funeral of County Councillor Des Davies which was well supported by all members of the community. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
39/19 Councillor Reports
Cllr T. Jones reported on his meeting with the digital inclusion group
A request for a sign to be placed on the Resolven road sign at the roundabout indicating that there are toilets in the canal basin.
There will be no Patient Participation Group until May/June, when it is hoped that the new health centre will be completed
A report that the new Catering Van in the canal basin car park has taken on new employees
Concern was expressed that the fly tipping at the old sidings in Abergarwed is getting worse – NPT to be contacted again for an update of previous reports.
The park keeper has reported that local residents are putting household rubbish and dog mess in the litter bins at the park. Residents are suitably advised not to put dog mess or household rubbish in the litter bins in the park where your children play
